About the Tonga Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Tonga Chamber of Commerce and Industry is governed by a sixteen members elected council. In 2009, the office was staffed with ongoing financial support from AusAid Pacific Leadership Program. These resources have enabled TCCI to enter a phase of significant growth and have brought it into line with best practice principles.

The Council, elected every year by TCCI's members, is formed of a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary, a Treasurer, an Assistant Secretary, an Assistant Treasurer, and four Councilors.  Meet these Council members in the Council Members section. In addition, Council includes four Affiliate Councilors, who represent major Private Sector Organisations:

• Steve Finau (CEO Tourism Tonga)
• Viliami Tiseli (CEO GroFed)
• Mr Sitiveni Fehoko (Tonga National Art & Handicraft Association) - to be approved by council
  
• Mr Sepa Mafi (Tonga Bread Association) - to be approved by council

The daily activities of the Chamber are conducted by a team of friendly and dedicated staff: a Program Officer,  an Office manager and a Clerk, as well as the members of TBEC's Team: a Manager, a Program Officer - Training, and a Program Assistant.  Meet them in the Management Staff section.
